Is there such a thing as perfect tyre wear?

    The rear tyre on my Deauville is down to its wear bars. The amazing thing, for me, is that wear is practually even should to shoulder, without a flat spot in the center. That has never happened to a rear tyre for me before.

    Does the tyre have a harder compound in the middle?

    Yes. But I have used other tyres that had 2 compounds that still went a bit flat in the middle. Not crazy flat, but definitely noticeable. This OTOH has not.
